How they work? Our waterproof fabric male dog adjustable pants are designed to help contain any urine accidents by holding a disposable or washable pad in position. They can help elderly dogs who become leaky/incontinent. For containing lots of urine, please consider lining with a disposable baby nappy overnight (especially for bigger dogs). They come in handy if you are worried about accidents when visiting friends, relatives, staying in a hotel or protecting furniture and carpets in your home.
Although we only sell for urine incontinence, some customers have let us know they use for faecal incontinence too.
Multi-directional pad option where washable pads can be positioned sideways, nose to tail, or both directions for maximum coverage. Through trial and error find the solution that works best for your dog.

Washable pad sizes are detailed in the 'Washable Pads Sizing Guidelines' on the separate washable pad pages. Two waterproof base washable pads can be purchased with the band - for more pads go to our washable pads pages.
Disposable pads can be used if you prefer - consider incontinence pads which can be stuck in position, or baby nappies - supermarket brands work very well.
Important - washable and disposable pads need to be regularly checked to see if they need washed or changed.
Laundry: Machine washable 30C, non-bio detergent, no fabric softener, tumble dry low, do not iron. For extra cleaning/ odour control try Dettol Laundry Cleanser which kills 99% of bacteria.
How to fit a male dog adjustable nappy to your dog's unique shape
1. Tailhole / Body Length adjustment
There is a small amount of adjustment in the tail section to allow for a) your dog's tail position and b) the product can be made slightly longer in overall length which can help make the pants more comfy if your male dog is not neutered.
Loosely position the product on your dog to get the right measurements, take it off to click the poppers securely, then place your dog’s tail through the tailhole and put the pants on.
2. Waistband adjustment
Fasten the poppers on the strap to best fit your dog’s waist.
Optional Washable Pads:
The pads attach to the poppers on the inside of the product. You can position a pad two different directions to best accommodate your dog's anatomy. If the relevant area that needs covered is position further back or behind your dog's hind legs, then put the pad length-ways (head to tail direction) in the nappy. You can also position to sideways, like in a belly band - or put both pads in the product for extra coverage.
If you plan on using two pads, you may want to buy extra pads for when you have some in the wash, they are sold on a separate listing.
Whether you use disposable or reusable pads - remember to check the pads regularly and replace when required
