Aliens Male Dog Belly Band - Poppers - XL only - Outlet

Description

Keep your dog comfortable while helping to protect your home with Glenndarcy Male Dog Belly Bands, washable and reusable male dog incontinence wraps designed to help manage urinary leakage, dribbling and urine marking.

Whether your male dog experiences occasional urinary incontinence, has started marking indoors or needs extra protection when visiting friends, travelling or staying in hotels, our waterproof fabric dog belly bands offer a practical solution.

Made from waterproof PUL fabric, manufacturer-tested to a 10,000 mm hydrostatic head rating, and lined with soft microfleece, each belly band features an adjustable touch-fastening closure for a comfortable, practical fit.

The adjustable popper fastening is particularly useful for dogs with a larger waist who don’t necessarily need a wider belly band.

Why Choose Poppers Instead of Velcro?

Both fastening styles offer practical benefits - our popper fastening belly bands have some important advantages.

  • Secure fastening: Once correctly fastened, poppers can be less likely to work loose during normal movement.
  • Greater usable waist adjustment: Poppers can fasten securely on the outermost setting, allowing the full available waistband range to be used.
  • Ideal for different body shapes: Particularly useful for dogs with a larger waist who still require a narrower belly band.
  • No Velcro overlap needed: Velcro requires approximately 1½ inches (4 cm) of overlap to stay securely fastened, whereas poppers can remain closed on the last row.

This can make a real difference when choosing the correct size, particularly for dogs whose waist measurement is larger in proportion to their body length.

    Choosing the Correct Size

Please use the Popper Fastening Belly Band Size Chart for this product. The waist measurements differ slightly from our Velcro fastening belly bands.

Dogs come in all shapes and sizes, and even dogs of the same breed can have very different proportions.

    For the best fit:

    1. Measure the waist: Measure around your dog’s body where the belly band will sit, ensuring the tape is snug but not tight.
    2. Check the band width: The band must be wide enough to cover your dog’s penis and hold the absorbent pad in the correct position.
    3. Consider body shape: A dog with a broad waist may still need a narrower band. This is where popper fastening can be particularly useful.
    4. Allow for movement: Consider how your dog’s shape changes when standing, sitting or lying down.
    5. Allow for coat thickness: Dogs with thick or fluffy coats may need a little extra room.
    6. Consider pad thickness: A thicker, more absorbent pad can affect how the band fits around your dog.

    Between sizes?

If your dog is at the upper end of a size, consider the next size up, but always check the band width as well as the waist measurement.

A larger waist does not necessarily mean your dog needs a wider belly band.

Because the poppers can be securely fastened on the outermost setting, this style may accommodate a larger waist while retaining the band width your dog needs.

    Unusual body shape?

If your dog doesn’t fit comfortably within the standard measurements, consider our Glenndarcy Adjustable Male Dog Pants, which offer additional fitting flexibility.

    Choosing Your Absorbent Pads

The belly band outer fabric is waterproof, not absorbent. An appropriate absorbent pad must be used inside to collect urine.

Our waterproof-backed washable Eco Pads are suitable for light urinary incontinence, occasional dribbling and small amounts of urine marking. They attach using the poppers inside the belly band.

Choose your belly band with or without two washable Eco Pads. Additional pads can be purchased separately.

For heavier urine output, consider a suitable disposable human incontinence pad or appropriately sized baby nappy, using the Glenndarcy belly band to help hold it in position.

When selecting your belly band size, consider the type and thickness of pad you intend to use. A thicker, higher-absorbency disposable pad may require additional room for a comfortable fit.

Important: Correct pad absorbency, positioning and fit are essential. Moisture may escape around the edges if the pad becomes saturated, moves out of position or gaps develop as your dog moves or lies down.

    Washable Eco Pad Size Guide

Our waterproof-backed washable Eco Pads are available in the following sizes for male dog belly bands:

    • XS and XS Long belly bands: Size A
    • Small belly bands: Size B
    • Medium, Medium Long and Large belly bands: Size D
    • XL and XXL belly bands: Size E

Please check the washable pad sizing guide before ordering.

Our washable Eco Pad has five layers:
Top layer: 'Synthetic suede' wicks away moisture to
Four lower layers of absorbent 'bamboo cotton'.
Base layer of waterproof 'synthetic suede'.
They fasten to our pants via poppers

(Size E pads have three 'bamboo cotton' layers).

Important - washable and disposable pads need to be regularly checked to see if they need washed or changed.

    Disposable Pads

Disposable sanitary towels, incontinence pads and suitable baby nappies can also be used.

    • Light marking or occasional dribbles: A thinner absorbent pad may be sufficient.
    • Regular urinary leaks: Consider a more absorbent incontinence pad.
    • Larger dogs or heavier urine output: A higher-capacity pad or suitable disposable baby nappy may be more appropriate.

Different pads vary considerably in absorbency, thickness and fit, so you may need to experiment to find the most suitable option.

Important: Check pads regularly and change them promptly when wet. Belly bands are designed to help manage accidents, not to replace regular toilet opportunities.

Where can I buy disposable pads?
