Whether your male dog experiences occasional urinary incontinence, has started marking indoors or needs extra protection when visiting friends, travelling or staying in hotels, our waterproof fabric diamond dog belly bands offer a practical solution.
Unlike conventional straight belly bands, our Diamond Male Dog Belly Bands feature a specially shaped central section, offering greater flexibility when positioning absorbent pads, allowing washable Eco Pads to be positioned sideways, lengthways (nose to tail), or in both directions, helping you adapt the absorbent coverage to your dog’s individual needs.
This flexibility makes Diamond Belly Bands particularly worth considering for dogs with unusual body shapes or those that need a different arrangement of absorbent pads. The most suitable pad arrangement will depend on your dog’s anatomy, urine output and the amount of coverage required.
Made from waterproof PUL fabric, manufacturer-tested to a 10,000 mm hydrostatic head rating, and lined with soft microfleece, each diamond belly band features an adjustable touch-fastening closure for a comfortable, practical fit.

Getting the Right Fit
Please measure your dog carefully before ordering, both standing and sitting.
Your dog’s tummy and waist measurements can change when sitting or lying down. Allow sufficient room for comfortable movement, particularly if your dog has a thick or fluffy coat.
Glenndarcy uses its own sizing system, and our products can be smaller than customers expect. Please do not choose a size based solely on breed, weight, photographs or the size your dog normally wears.
Every dog is unique - a medium-sized Labrador, for example, will not fit a size medium Glenndarcy dog belly band.
When choosing your size:
- Measure around your dog’s body where the belly band will sit.
- Take measurements with your dog both standing and sitting.
- Allow additional room for thick or fluffy coats.
- Consider the thickness and number of absorbent pads you intend to use.

If your dog is at the upper end of a size range, we recommend choosing the next size up, provided the other measurements are suitable.
- Check the width and coverage of the diamond-shaped section as well as the waistband circumference.
- Refer to our full size chart rather than relying on breed examples alone.
The belly band should fit securely without being too tight, while providing sufficient coverage to keep the absorbent pads correctly positioned.
Choosing Your Absorbent Pads
The Diamond Belly Band fabric is waterproof, not absorbent. An appropriate absorbent pad must be used inside to collect urine.
Our waterproof-backed washable Eco Pads are suitable for light urinary incontinence, occasional dribbling and small amounts of urine marking. They attach using the poppers inside the belly band, allowing different pad positions to suit your dog’s individual requirements.
Choose your Diamond Belly Band with or without two washable Eco Pads. Additional pads can be purchased separately.
For heavier urine output, consider a suitable disposable human incontinence pad or appropriately sized baby nappy, using the Glenndarcy Diamond Belly Band to help hold it in position.
When selecting your belly band size, consider the type, number and thickness of pads you intend to use. Thicker or multiple pads may require additional room for a comfortable fit.
Important: Correct pad absorbency, positioning and fit are essential. Moisture may escape around the edges if pads become saturated, move out of position or gaps develop when your dog moves or lies down.
Washable Eco Pad Size Guide
Our waterproof-backed washable Eco Pads are available in the following sizes for male diamond dog belly bands:
- XS and XS Long belly bands: Size A
- Small belly bands: x1 Size A and x1 Size B
- Medium, Medium Long and Large belly bands: Size D

Our washable Eco Pad has five layers:
Top layer: 'Synthetic suede' wicks away moisture to
Four lower layers of absorbent 'bamboo cotton'.
Base layer of waterproof 'synthetic suede'.

Important - washable and disposable pads need to be regularly checked to see if they need washed or changed.

We recommend supermarket own brand disposable towels/pads/nappies. Here are some examples and prices:

Prices may vary. It may take trial and error to find the pad that best suits your dog’s needs.
Care Instructions
Machine wash at 30°C using non-biological detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Tumble dry on low heat or air dry. Do not iron.
For extra cleaning/ odour control try Antibacterial Laundry Cleanser which kills 99% of bacteria.
